The textbook will be New Testament Greek for Beginners by J. Gresham Machen.
This grammar is available in paperback on Amazon.
The classes will be held on a zoom link, making interaction between the students and the instructor possible. In fact, the instructor, John Rataczak, Ph.D. appreciates conversation with each one!
You might ask, “What would a class be like”? For a few minutes before the 50-to-60-minute classes, there would be pleasant conversation. Then the class begins. There would be a bit of review of past concepts for a few minutes, followed by an introduction to new matters in the grammar text.

Early in the class there would be instruction on the amazing history of the Greek language and why God chose Greek for the writing of the New Testament.
Efforts will be made to explain interesting uses of vocabulary words in the New Testament and similarities between the Greek and English languages.
What are the goals of such a class of Elementary Greek I? Beginning with learning the alphabet, vowels, consonants, accents, and syllable structure, the student will soon be translating simple sentences in the text. These sentences use Greek words that are found in the New Testament!
As time moves on, details about the verbs and nouns are learned, giving students new insights into how amazing Greek really is!
This class will last for 16 weeks and will meet once per week. The next step would be to sign up for Elementary Greek II, a class that will have students learn more vocabulary and get prepared to translate passages in the New Testament!
We welcome students, young and a bit older, to this important instruction, believing wholeheartedly that it will cause a deeper understanding of Biblical truth and a closer walk with Jesus, the “author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).
A certificate of completion will be awarded after completing the course.
Cost for each person is $150.00
